Our busy Palm Sunday
Natalie woke up this morning complaining of her right ear hurting. She wasn't running a fever, and we had places to be, so I got her dressed, gave her some Tylenol for pain, and we headed to church.
As you may or may not know, I am the church choir director for kids ages 4-2nd grade. Our choir is called Jubilee Jr. Today, they had to sing for both church services with the older kids' choir, Jubilee Sr. We had to be at church by 8:15, and we stayed there through Sunday school and 2nd service. When we got to church, Natalie seemed fine. She was running around and climbing all over the play gym in the nursery. She was even hanging upside down at one point. When I asked her if her ear still hurt, she told me no. I thought we were free and clear.
After the 2nd service, the adult choir, of which I am a member, had to practice our Easter contata, which we will be performing next Sunday. We ended up being at church until 1:45. It would have been later, but I had to leave early because I had a Big Brothers/Big Sisters Bowl for Kids' Sake event for work from 2:00-4:00 (needless to say, we were late).
We got to the bowling alley, and it went downhill fast from there. Natalie's cheeks started getting red and she was whining more. She kept holding her right ear and saying it hurt. Obviously, the Tylenol had worn off. We stayed for a little over an hour (Grace and Natalie even got to bowl for the first time), but Natalie was definitely not feeling well.
So, we packed up our things and made a trip here:
Thankfully, the Wichita Clinic was not very busy when we arrived. We had to wait, but it wasn't too terribly long. They got us in and we saw the doctor pretty quickly after that. And yes, she does have a monster infection in her right ear. So, we got a prescription and took it to the nearest 24-hour Walgreen's to get it filled. This was Natalie right after the doctor visit:
And this was her when we pulled in the driveway:
Poor Natters... :-(
We had been gone from 8:10 to 6:00. And we are all completely pooped!!! It will definitely be an early bed time for all of us!!!
