The 2nd half of July

Well, as promised, here is a recap of the rest of our July...

On the 29th, we went to the Sedgwick County Zoo. The girls have been there several times, but each time we go it seems like something is new or different. This was the first time for me and Joel to see the new tiger exhibit. It was awesome! The weather was also extremely nice. It was only in the 70s, and we encountered a brief rain shower while we were there. It's never been that nice - always so hot and humid. We really enjoyed ourselves. Here are some pictures:

Later that evening (as if the girls weren't tired enough), we went to Joel's sister and her husband's house in Newton for dinner. His sister, Sarah, made Grace a birthday cake since they weren't able to come to Grace's party. Grace even got a PINK dress! After dinner, we all went to a nearby park, then back to Sarah and Marc's house for a little guys vs. girls in Seinfeld Scene It! The guys won 2 games to 1, but I have to say Sarah and I put up a fair fight. Here's some pics from the evening:

The end of our month was capped off with a trip to Lawrence and KC. More on that in the post above.
