My sister-in-law and her husband attend church with a family who greatly needs our prayers and support. After hearing about this, I looked upon my girls in a whole new light. I will never take them for granted again. Please read on...

Cora McClenahan (10 months old), was diagnosed with Stage 4 neuroblastoma cancer. It all has happened very quickly. She did have surgery to remove a tumor from her adrenal gland and some lymph nodes. During that surgery, they also put a portocath in her for chemo treatments. Also, during that surgery, the surgeon saw hundreds of cancerous spots on her liver.
Originally, they wanted to let her little body heal from the surgery for a little over a week before beginning chemo treatments; however, her liver was enlarging from the cancer so rapidly that it was beginning to affect her breathing, etc. So, her first treatment, lasting 78 hours, began last week. Now, she is in very critical condition as she’s had some other complications. To avoid getting all of the medical “stuff” incorrect, I’m not going to say exactly what all of the complications are from. I will say, however, that she is currently on a ventilator and has fluid build-up around her heart. In a nutshell, she’s one sick little girl.
If you want to follow their blog, they have been updating it daily. I strongly encourage you to read it; however, prepare to be sad. The parts that will amaze and encourage you, however, on this blog are Cora's parents, Joel and Jessica’s faith. Their faith in Christ is so very strong, and they know that He has their’s and Cora’s best plans in mind. Already, we’re hearing stories of people coming to know Christ throughout other parts of the country as a result of Joel and Jessica’s faith demonstrated on this blog. Here is the address:
