Our busy Saturday

Or, as I like to call it, "Joel and Amber are Brave" Day. Read on...
Stop 1: 9:30 a.m. - Pump It Up, Wichita, KS
First, we took Grace to a friend's birthday party at Pump It Up in Wichita. This place was so cool - inflatable everything!!! Joel and I participated, and I am sooooo sore today! We were exhausted after this trip, and it was just the beginning of our day!!!

Joel and Grace on the HUGE inflatable slide!

Joel and Natalie in the "cage"...

Grace in the "cage"...

Joel having way too much fun on the slide... :-)
Stops 2 and 3: 11:30 a.m. - A Classic Cut, Andover, KS; and lunch at Mickie-D's
Next, it was time for Grace's very first hair cut. Her hair was about to the small of her back, so it was pretty long! After about 10 minutes of screaming and throwing a fit, she let Grandma Koehn hold her. The paci was the only thing that seemed to keep her calm. After she pouted for a while, she proclaimed, "That wasn't scary!"

Pre haircut - it was long and curly, and it would get really ratty in the mornings!

The first snip...

Pouting afterward...

It's much shorter now, and no more ringlets (at least, not yet - it was pretty weighed down...) :-(
Stop 4: 1:40 p.m. - Ice cream at Marble Slab Creamery and duck watching at Bradley Fair with mommy's best friend, Laura, and her kids.

Stop 5: 3:15 p.m. - Wichita Train Show and Swap Meet (Cessna Activity Center)
Grace loves trains and her Grandpa Koehn thought she would really enjoy watching the model trains go around the tracks. She did, and so did Natalie.

Stop 6: 4:45 p.m. - Gupton's Pets
LOTS of puppies and fishies to look at!!! The girls didn't want to leave!!!
Stop 7: 5:30 p.m. - Grandma and Grandpa Miller's house
Grace wanted to show them her "new hair." :-)
Stop 8: 6:00 p.m. - Apple Market in Rose Hill to get some dinner
Stop 9: 6:15 p.m. - HOME!!!!!
Overall, the girls did really well for not having naps. We got lucky, but we won't be pressing our luck again anytime soon - we definitely won't plan such a busy day again for awhile. But, at least they had a really good time and were WORN OUT at the end of the day! Joel and I were worn out, too! I'm still recouperating, and it's Monday... :-)
